„The Pannonian Wood Center of Competence“ is a successful example of cooperation between scientists, industry and the local community, with the common goal of improving the business and economic situation of the Virovitica-Podravina County, the whole of Croatia, and also the wider region.
„The Pannonian Wood Center of Competence“ is a successful example of cooperation between scientists, industry and the local community, with the common goal of improving the business and economic situation of the Virovitica-Podravina County, the whole of Croatia, and also the wider region. The Pannonian Wood Center of Competence is the only center for the wood industry development in Croatia, which provides services to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs from the wood processing sector in the region in all stages of product development, with an emphasis on research and innovation. The total value of the project is HRK 44.701.237,17, and includes the establishment and management of the Center, as well as the creation of a detailed program of services and the equipping of a modern laboratory for research, development, testing and prototype manufacturing. The carrier of this project was the Virovitica-Podravina County with it’s partners, VIDRA – the Agency for Regional Development of the Virovitica-Podravina County, the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Zagreb and the Ruđer Bošković Institute.
